Dear Egg Buyer,

We at The Country Hen believe that your plants and garden will really enjoy our compost. Since 1988 we have dedicated ourselves exclusively to producing enriched Omega 3 organic eggs and had little time for anything else. But we did produce compost for friends and neighbors on a limited basis. The reaction was so favorable that last year we decided to produce and sell compost to the public.

TEST FROM A RESPECTED LAB

Before coming to market this year, we decided to submit a large, typical sample to a special compost lab ­ Woods End Research Laboratory in Mount Vernon, Maine. The sample and its results are only representative of this particular compost, but we believe that the compost that we are selling is very close in quality to that tested in Maine.

WOODS END REPORTS

“Country Hen compost revealed some special properties with plant uptake of nutrients. In comparison to conventional fertilizers, it improved uptake of nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus, as well as other nutrients such as boron and manganese. It also reduced the uptake of harmful aluminum.”

SPECIAL MINERALS

We believe that the excellent effect of this product may be due to the minerals and special trace elements contained in our feed. Some of these are as follows:

Calcium 4.3%
Manganese 171ppm
Magnesium .3%
Iron 1,587ppm
Zinc 132ppm

On an as is (moist) basis the NPK values were .7%, .6% & .5%.
