George Bass Honored as Outstanding Citizen

George Bass, The Country Hen's very modest owner, did not want any part of this newsletter. However, The Country Hen team members wanted to share this great news with our customers. George received an Outstanding Citizen Award from the Hubbardston Council on Aging. Recognition of the award was issued through official citations from the Massachusetts' House of Representatives and Senate.

Spirit of Generosity in The Community

George was recognized for many years of generosity and steadfast support in the community, but particularly in regards to the Hubbardston Council on Aging. For years, he has donated eggs every week to the Senior Center.
We have all, at one time or another, had to cut expenses here or there. In more challenging economic times, seniors on fixed incomes are often faced with decisions to give up one necessity in order to pay for another. George felt his donations were a small, but important, way to ensure that our local seniors would have the benefit of nutritional meals packed with protein, essential vitamins and minerals, Omega-3s, lutein and choline, despite any economic hardships. Congratulations George!
